The Star Tribune editorial on Feb 17, 2011 called for the lifting of Minnesota's Moratorium on Nuclear Power.  Specifically citing efforts of MCM, the Star Tribune states that Nuclear Power should compete on its merits and Minnesota's "lockout approach" on nuclear should be changed.  You can find a copy of the editorial here.

On November 29th, MCM held our Fall Meeting at the University Club in St. Paul.  Tim Hartigan, St. Paul Brass handed over the President's gavel to Michael Suchy, Prospect Foundry.  Board members and officers for 2011 were also elected.  The keynote speaker after lunch was Dave Olson, President of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce

Mr. Olson touched on the recent elections, the changing face of the legislature & governor's office, and the tremendous financial challenge they will face during the 2011 legislative session.  Mr. Olson also shared the Chambers 2011 Legislative priorities.(Page1 & Page2)  They include:  Budget reform & service redesign, K-12 education reform, Environmental review & permitting reform, Energy, and Transportation.
